CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD CROSS-COUNTRY SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES”)

OFFICIAL RULES

(“RULES”)

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING THE SWEEPSTAKES. VOID OUTSIDE OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

ANY ENTRY THAT FEAUTURES MATERIAL(S) THAT INFRINGE UPON ANY THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK, RIGHT OF PUBLICITY, ETC.) WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES.

By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants (as defined in Section 4 below) accept and agree to be bound by these Rules. Any violation of these Rules by Entrants may, at Sponsor's discretion, result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes.

1. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on April 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST and ends on May 11, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST (“Sweepstakes Period”).

2. SPONSOR: AMC Network Entertainment LLC, 11 Penn Plaza, NY, NY 10001 (“Sponsor”).

3. ELIGIBILITY: THE SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES [i.e., FIFTY (50) STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA] WHO ARE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR STATE OF PRIMARY RESIDENCE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its promotional partners (including, without limitation, Sweepstakes administrators, digital agencies and independent judging agencies), and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion or production agencies, or web masters/suppliers, and their IRS dependents, immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and individuals residing in their same household, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. By participating, Entrants hereby agree to these Rules and acknowledge that the decisions of Sponsor in relation to the Sweepstakes are final and binding in all respects. The Sweepstakes shall be void wherever prohibited by law, or where the registration or filing requirements of any state or local jurisdiction have not been complied with.

4. HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, Entrants may enter the Sweepstakes through Instagram only. Accordingly, Entrants will need an Instagram account to participate. For Entrants who don’t already have an Instagram account, visit www.instagram.com to create one. Creating an account is free, but Entrants must agree to Instagram’s terms or service and privacy policy to create an account.

During the Sweepstakes Period, Sponsor will be promoting the RLJE film ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ (the “Film”) with one (1) branded semi-truck (the “Frendo Truck”), which will make stops at various locations across the U.S., from Atlanta to Los Angeles and back, during the Sweepstakes Period. The Frendo Truck will leave promotional posters (“Wildpostings”) at stops along the route. Throughout the Sweepstakes Period, the official Film Instagram account (@ clown_in_a_cornfield) may indicate which location(s) the Frendo Truck is heading next.

To enter the Sweepstakes, during the Sweepstakes Period, eligible individuals (“Entrants,” and each an “Entrant”) must: (i) locate the Frendo Truck, corresponding Frendo Truck on-the-ground activation, or Wildpostings at a city/ location near you; (ii) post a photo to your personal Instagram featuring either the Frendo Truck, a corresponding Frendo Truck on-the-ground activation, or the Wildpostings; and (iii) include the hashtag #IFoundFrendo in the copy of your post (each, an “Entry”). Limit one (1) Entry per person. Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether a submission qualifies as an Entry. Entries must be uploaded in accordance with Instagram’s terms of service (https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870).

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY AND ALL ENTRIES AND METADATA SUBMITTED FOR THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE PUBLICLY VIEWABLE. ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR ENTRIES MAY BE REPOSTED BY THE PUBLIC OR OPEN TO PUBLIC COMMENTARY, FOR WHICH SPONSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE.

Entries containing any Banned Content (defined below), or any other content, language, display, materials and/or images that are or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable, offensive or otherwise not in accordance with these Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes.

Only Entries recorded through Instagram’s servers will be considered and Sponsor’s computer clock will be the official timekeeper for the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may not receive Entries from Instagram users with private or protected accounts, due to each platform’s privacy policies, and therefore such Entries will not be entered into the Sweepstakes. Entries must be made by an individual person and cannot be generated by a group, bot, or other automated means. Sponsor reserves the right to remove, reject, or disqualify any Entry or Entrant which violates any of these Rules, the terms of service, community agreement, or privacy policy of Instagram or Sponsor.

Entries may NOT include the following content (“Banned Content”):

Any minors;
Uncleared, third-party materials (such as, unauthorized trademark and copyrighted materials and/or still images, video clips, and artwork;
Obscenity;
Artwork (e.g., paintings or posters), photos, storefronts or other visible branding (except for the Wildpostings and Frendo Truck);
Crude, vulgar or offensive pictures, depictions, images, language and/or symbols;
Excessive, extreme or gratuitous violence;
Sexual activity or nudity;
Drug or alcohol use (actual or simulated);
Commercial products (e.g., cellphones, clothing, handbags, toys, food) and/or their trademarks, brands, logos or endorsements;
Unauthorized use of music, including background music, singing, listening to, and dancing to music;
License plates, phone numbers, personal addresses (physical or email) or other means of personal identification;
Website or web page links;
Derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups, humiliation of other people (publicly or otherwise), or any assault or threatening of others;
Disparagement of any product, person or entity;
Trespass or the violation of other people’s rights or property;
Illegal (e.g., discriminatory or harassing) or inappropriate activity, behavior or conduct (e.g., inflicting emotional distress) or discussion of illegal activities; and
Any depiction of individuals other than Entrant who have not expressly signed an appearance release.

Language and themes contained in Entries will be evaluated by Sponsor based on content and societal acceptability. Sponsor may modify or edit any materials related to an Entry or request Entrants to do so, so that such materials meet such guidelines.

5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: On or about May 13, 2025, a Winner will be selected via random drawing from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Potential winner (“Potential Winner”) will receive a direct message from Sponsor at the Instagram account used to participate in the Sweepstakes (“Notification”) confirming that they have been selected to be a Winner and requesting the individual’s full name, phone number and mailing address. Potential Winner must respond to Sponsor’s Notification within seventy-two (72) hours, or the Prize will be forfeited. If a Potential Winner does not respond within seventy-two (72) hours of the Notification, or if the Notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to a Potential Winner, such Potential Winner will forfeit the Prize and an alternate Potential Winner may be selected. Sponsor shall have no liability for any Entry that is lost, intercepted or otherwise not received by Sponsor. Decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes, including interpretation of these Rules, determining the Winners, and awarding of the Prize.

6. PRIZE DESCRIPTION AND REDEMPTION CONDITIONS: There will be one (1) winner (the “Winner”) who each will receive: one (1) signed Film tie-in edition of the ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ novel and one (1) custom Frendo jack-in-the-box toy (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value of the Prize is Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($550.00); however, the actual final retail value of the Prize may be higher or lower based on current market conditions at the time of award. Any difference between the final value and the approximate retail value will not be awarded. The Prize will be awarded within approximately three (3) weeks of the Winner's complete response to the Notification as required under Section 5 herein. No substitution, assignment or transfer of the Prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, which has the right to substitute the Prize with another of comparable or greater value. Sponsor will not replace a lost or stolen Prize. Each Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with the receipt and/or use of the Prize.

7. PUBLICITY: Entrant agrees that by entering into this Sweepstakes, Entrant is granting Sponsor (and its subsidiaries and affiliates and affiliated broadcast stations and networks, successors and assignees and licensees) the non-exclusive, worldwide irrevocable right and license, but not the obligation, to exhibit, broadcast, copy, reproduce, encode, compress, encrypt, incorporate data into, edit, dub, superimpose, rebroadcast, transmit, record, publicly perform and distribute and synchronize in timed relation to visual elements, the Entries and/or any portions or excerpts thereof, in any manner, an unlimited number of times, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised for any purpose, throughout the world in perpetuity. Sponsor may use the Entries (or any portion thereof, including, without limitation an Entrant’s, Instagram screen name) to advertise, promote and publicize, the Sweepstakes, Sponsor’s business, products and worldwide programming services and/or Sponsor’s websites in all media throughout the universe and may authorize others to do so; such advertising, promotion and publicity may include portions and excerpts, in addition to cut-in, synchronized, dubbed and superimposed versions of the Entries. Entrant acknowledges that Sponsor may use the Entries in accordance with the permission granted herein without further compensation, credit, or right of review or approval.

8. TERMS AND CONDITIONS; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Entrants are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant releases, discharges and agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and any other party associated with the development, or administration or promotion of the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, affiliated entities, successors and assigns (collectively, “Sponsor Entities”), from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light) (collectively, “Claims”) arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes in any way. Except where prohibited, acceptance of the Prize constitutes a release by each Winner of the Sponsor Entities of any and all Claims in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes and the use, misuse, or possession of the Prize, including any claims for personal injury or otherwise relating in any way to the receipt of the services or the usage of the products awarded through the Sweepstakes.

9. FORCE MAJEURE; DISCLAIMER/INTERNET: If for any reason the Frendo Truck is re-routed or is unable to make it to a previously announced location or the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, tampering and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulation, disaster, fire, strikes, civil disorder, weather issues, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its discretion, to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process and/or cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes and to select Potential Winners from eligible entries received as of the termination date. In the event the Frendo Truck is unable to arrive to a previously announced location, Sponsor will use best efforts to notify via it’s official Film Instagram account as soon as practical. Sponsor may prohibit an Entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes if it determines that said Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices, or intending to abuse, threaten, or harass other entrants (including, but not limited to, using any form of generative AI to create an Entry). Caution: Any attempt by an Entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such Entrant to the fullest extent of the law. The Sponsor Entities (i) assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in acquisition, operation, or transmission of communications, line failure relating to theft, or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; (ii) are not responsible for any problems relating to, or technical malfunction of, any communications network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or communications service provider, computer or other equipment, hardware, software, failure of any entry information to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error, or traffic congestion of any communications system on the internet, or at any website, or (iii) any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading of any materials in the Sweepstakes.

10. CLAIM/CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in the State of New York. All Entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New York and agree to waive the right to a jury trial with respect to any claim or dispute with regard to any aspect of the Sweepstakes or these Rules. Any and all claims, judgments and awards in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in connection with such Sweepstakes, but in no event attorney’s fees; and under no circumstances will an Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and Entrants hereby waive all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

11. PRIVACY: Any personal information supplied by Entrants to Sponsor will be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy posted at HTTPS://WWW.AMCNETWORKS.COM/PRIVACY-POLICY/.

12. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the names of the Winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope marked “Winners’ Names” to: “Clown In A Cornfield Cross-Country Sweepstakes” c/o AMC Networks Entertainment LLC, 11 Penn Plaza, NY, NY 10001 within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the Sweepstakes.

THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH INSTAGRAM. BY ENTERING VIA INSTAGRAM, PARTICIPANTS FULLY RELEASE INSTAGRAM FROM ANY LIABILITY. ENTRANT UNDERSTANDS THAT ENTRANT IS PROVIDING THEIR INFORMATION TO SPONSOR AND NOT TO INSTAGRAM. AS SUCH, PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS OR COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE PROMOTION TO SPONSOR.
